Welcome!
- Hi, Polluks, Welcome to Wikipedia!
You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)
Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.
Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.
I hope you like this place--I sure do--and want to stay. If you need help on how to title new articles check out Wikipedia:Naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and The FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check The Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or The Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on My User talk Page.
Additional Tips:
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
- You may want to add yourself to the New User Log
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.

Image Tagging Image:181404 LB 00 FB.EPS.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:181404 LB 00 FB.EPS.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 21:23, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Sorting on disambig pages
Hi there, in general disambiguation pages are not sorted alphabetically, they are sorted in order of use, see:
Thanks/wangi 16:24, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Hello. I've reverted your categorisation of this article, since it is a disambiguation article and therefore does not fall into your category. If you wish to split a new article, say, Object Module Format away from the VME article and into a separate article, then your categorisation would be fine for that article, since it would only deal with OMF. Thanks, Ian Cairns 13:46, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- VME#OMF: - I see the problem but I was unable to label the right categorie in VME :-( Polluks 14:04, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, hence why you need to split off ObMoFo from the VME article into a separate article in order to categorise it separately. Of course, OMF is already taken as an article name... Ian Cairns 14:49, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
vbcc has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt the subject might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability for the relevant concerns. An example of notability guidelines can be found at Wikipedia:Notability (websites). If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. Chipsets.png listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Chipsets.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. – Fʀɪɺøʟɛ ( тɐʟк • ¢ʘи†ʀ¡βs ) 05:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- just wanted to let you know, I've put this image up for deletion. I've made a replacement for it at Image:Chipsets2.png. – Fʀɪɺøʟɛ ( тɐʟк • ¢ʘи†ʀ¡βs ) 05:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, you may also add a legend for "chipset" and "device" -- Polluks 10:22, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ooh, good point. I take it that rounded = chipset and rectangular = device, right? – Fʀɪɺøʟɛ ( тɐʟк • ¢ʘи†ʀ¡βs ) 16:35, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Non-free use disputed for Image:Btx.png
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Btx.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi
I'm afraid you're going to have to remind me when we last spoke and the subject? I've read your username somewhere before but I can't remember... The only thing I know about GUI is what it stands for: General User Interface. ScarianTalk 17:05, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ah! Graphical. I am enlightened thank you :-) - I knew I'd screw up somewhere. Yeah I didn't understand the I.P. edit, friend, so I AGF removed it. I'd never seen those tags before and in that pattern so I thought it might've been a test edit. What was it about? Take care, buddy. ScarianTalk 17:13, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:FLEX.png
Thanks for uploading Image:FLEX.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:07, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:ALi logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ALi logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image copyright problem with File:PrtShop1.gif
Thanks for uploading File:PrtShop1.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 05:27, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
The article TurboPrint has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ironholds (talk) 01:30, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
