Khandokar Shams Uddin Ahmed

Khandokar Shams Uddin Ahmed was a lawyer in Gopalganj District.[1] He is a former MLA of the Bengal Legislative Assembly.[2]

Biography

Ahmed was a politician of the Krishak Sramik Party of A. K. Fazlul Huq.[1] He later joined the Muslim League after Huq joined the league.[1] He was a member of the treasury Bench of East Bengal Legislative Assembly.[3] He asked Nurul Amin to visit students injured in the Bengali Language movement.[3]

Ahmed's son, Khandokar Mahbub Uddin Ahmad, was a member of parliament from Dhaka.[1] He was friends with Sheikh Lutfar Rahman, father of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.[1]
