Android-x86 is a port of the Android mobile operating system to the x86 instruction set architectures.
The project began as a series of patches to the Android source code to enable Android to run on various netbooks and ultra-mobile PCs—particularly the ASUS Eee PC.
Chih-Wei Huang and Yi Sun maintain the project.
Android-IA
A derivation of the project, Android-IA[2] has been produced by Intel.[3] The project states that its intention is to port Android on to x86-based mobile platforms, such as the Intel Medfield architecture.
