Robert George Burrell (1849–1904) was an engineer, and managing director of Charles Burrell & Sons.[1][2][3] His daughter, Elsie Burrell, was a portrait painter. He served as Mayor of Thetford for three years and was a Justice of the Peace.[3][4]

Mr. Robert Burrell was the second son of Mr. Charles Burrell, who founded the business. He was born in March, 1849. He took much interest in Thetford, and was mayor of that town for three years. His loss is keenly felt in the district.
