Description1–14 George Square, Glasgow (south side).jpg
English: George Square, Glasgow, south side. The former General Post Office building has been redeveloped as a new office development "g1 George Square", with its foyer at number 5, and restaurants on the ground floor at numbers 1 and 7. Across South Hanover Street at number 9, the McLaren warehouse and repository building of 1922, designed by James Miller, has been conserved with additional storeys, and renamed Lomond House. The adjacent Monteith House at 11 George Square was built around 1863, probably to a design by John Burnet. At 13–14, Olympic House with its main entrances in Queen Street was designed by James Miller around 1904-05. In the foreground, equestrian statues of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
