Summary

Description
English: Uniform of a member of the 37th Foot, of the British Army, as depicted in the 1742 Cloathing Book. According to Stuart Reid, this unit was wearing an old fashioned uniform in 1742, noting the plain cuffs and absence of lace looping on the lapels. By the time of the Battle of Falkirk and Battle of Culloden the unit's uniform would have had yellow cuffs in the conventional style of the time.
