The role won him an en:Academy Award for Best Actor. en:Karoly Szabo is the second in the standing row from left on this photo. He was 1944-45 employee on the Swedish embassy among Raoul Wallenberg’s supporters. Vilmos Plachy and en:Karoly Szabo founded together 1945 the UNIVERSAL calculator company in Budapest, disrtbutors for Brunsviga in Hungary. en:Nationalization in 1950 ended the business without compensation.
