Rice Bowl Cover measuring 1 3/4" high and 7 1/2" in diameter. This is a lid to a large rice bowl decorated with a medallion of the double happiness and long-life symbol in the center. The border of it shows two peonies with their foliage in blue underglaze. The ground appears with a grayish-green tonality. The cover is glazed on the inside as well and is used as an eating container. Yi (Joseon) Dynasty Bowl 19th century.
