Description
English: The historical coat of arms of Ung county
Magyar: Ung vármegye címere.

Ung vármegye címere háromötöd–kétötöd arányban vágott, ovális pajzs. A háromötödöt képező felső mezőben középen nyitott, rubinnal, zafírral és igazgyönggyel díszített levélkoronából növekvő páncélos vitéz emelkedik ki, fején koronával. A vitéz páncélos karjait könyökben behajlítva felfelé emeli, mindkét kezében három-három búzakalászt tart. Az alsó mező háromszor vágott. A pajzson szegélyezett és díszített, nyakékes, pántos sisak nyugszik. A sisakkorona nyitott levélkorona, amelyet rubin, zafír és igazgyöngy díszít. A címerpajzsot mindkét oldalról sisaktakaró övezi.

A 11. századi alapítású comitatus az Ung-folyóról vagy a mellette fölépített Ung váráról kapta nevét. A vármegyében a Homonnai nevet is viselő gereni és homonnai Drugeth család tagjai töltöttek be főispáni tisztséget már a 14. századtól. A vármegye már 1837-ben magyar köriratú címeres pecsétet használt: UNGH VÁRMEGYE PECSÉTJE 1837.
