An oustanding thumbnail of world class competition quality. This is from the collection of Bill Forrest, owner of the Benitoite Mine. He obtained this personally some 2 decades ago when buying a group of gold crystals in New Guinea. He says this was the single best piece in the lot, and i believe it! The sharp symmetry of the piece is fascinating and beautiful, and of a fine filligree that makes it stand out from any California material. It is truly one of the best gold thumbnails for this style of crystallization that I have seen. (not from the Mauthner Collection)
