English: Hay Inclined plane and Canal basin, Coalport. This incline plane linked the Blists Hill industrial site with the canal above the north bank of the River Severn. The building on the right contains the entry to the "Tar Tunnel" originally driven northwards to connect with Blists Hill it revealed an economically viable deposity of tar instead.
