Arms, on a lozenge-shaped shield suitable for a female: Hanbury quartering Bateman with inescutcheon of pretence of Or, on a pile azure three galtraps of the field on a chief embattled ermine .......(lengthy debased heraldry, augmentation for his military services) (Kerrison) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.561).
