Le cabinet de physique de l'intendant Pierre-Élisabeth de Fontanieu, intendant du Garde-Meuble de 1767 à 1783

P.-É. de Fontanieu était un passionné de littérature et de sciences, en particulier de gemmologie. Il avait installé son atelier au sein de l'hôtel. La reconstitution présente au premier plan un tour à guillocher.

Monument emblématique de la place de la Concorde, à Paris, l’Hôtel de la Marine est un superbe ensemble architectural créé au XVIIIe siècle par Ange-Jacques Gabriel, Premier architecte du Roi. Il abrita jusqu’en 1798 le Garde-Meuble de la Couronne avant de devenir, pendant plus de deux-cents ans, le siège du ministère de la Marine....En 2015, le ministère de la Marine quitte l’Hôtel de la Marine. Le monument est alors confié au Centre des monuments nationaux. Objectif : restaurer le bâtiment et faire revivre aux visiteurs le temps du Garde-Meuble de la Couronne à l’époque de sa construction au XVIIIe siècle.
