The images distributed are credited to the Associated Press. The AP held the official campaign portraits of each Alaska Senate candidate. Stevens' portrait is from his 1962 campaign, and since this article was made in 1964, this image could only be from McKinley's 1960 campaign. The AP did not renew the copyright to the images they distributed from 1929-1963. Falling under that blanket, this image is thus in the public domain in the United States.
