English: Quality Street, Merstham Quality Street, some of whose buildings date back to the 16th century, was once a continuation of the High Street - the main road (the A23) now veers off to the right at this point, hence the chevron on the right of the picture. The street was named at the start of the 20th century after the 1902 JM Barrie play 'Quality Street', two of whose original actors, Ellaline Terris and Seymour Hicks, lived in the Old Forge.
