Summary[edit]

This picture was taken during the Ohio River Flood of 1884, outside former Mayor of Ashland, Kentucky's clothing store, Tom Newman's. This was published in A History of Ashland, Kentucky 1786 - 1954, a book that was copyrighted between 1923 - 1963. As the copyright was never renewed, this image is now released into the public domain.
