Just one question, if the empirical formula for silicon dioxide is SiO2, why is it tetrahedral with four O atoms when there is only one Si atom, oughtn't it to be either 2SiO4 or 2(SiO2)? This diagram shows the readers a SiO4 molecule. Timothy Perseus Wordsworthe (talk) 08:43, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
