It appears some initial devkits that were provided to developers ran GRUB, but that is not relevant to the article (the source is majorly erroneous as well, as it refers to launching a BSD with GNU GRUB as "similar to Linux"?). SONY would never distribute software licensed under the GPLv3-or-later to the users, as they don't want them to have freedom. undo

As per the linked documentation, [the shell] "closely resembles the Bash command-line" & "editing of the text on the line can be done via a subset of the functions available in the Bash shell". The commands are only listed in GNU GRUB's documentation. undo

  • curprev 09:1809:18, 21 August 2024 Guy Harris talk contribs 38,008 bytes 0 Consistency speak of GRUB Legacy as "GRUB version 0" It's confusing. The pre-GRUB 2 GNU GRUB had version numbers 0.x. There were some GRUB 1.9x releases, but they were releases of GRUB 2 leading up to the 2.0 release, so there wasn't really a "version 1". undo
