New Cassel was a short-lived Main Line Long Island Rail Road station stop located on the west side of Urban Road and the north side of Railroad Avenue in New Cassel, New York.[1]

The station appeared in the 1873 Beers' 1873 atlas. It served the community of New Cassel, which was newly developed in 1870 to serve immigrant Germans.[2][3] The station first appeared on the timetable of November 1875.[4] It was served by one westbound train in 1877.[5]

In 1891, a large area of land was purchased in New Cassel to create a village by Jacob Hicks and Joshua Romell. As part of their development, they proposed reopening the railroad depot.[3] An 1893 article in The Port Jefferson Echo reported that the station would be reopened.[6]

The station was on a 1898 station list, but was not on the list of 1900.[7] The former depot was later moved to the north side of Railroad Avenue and the north side of Rushmore Street.[8]
