SHR (formerly Stable Hybrid Release) is a community-driven Linux distribution for smartphones which is based on OpenEmbedded and the FSO framework. Several different graphical toolkits are made available, such as GTK+, Qt and more.[1][2]
System requirements
The current unstable and testing release is for Openmoko's Neo 1973 and FreeRunner, both having an ARM architecture. At the moment SHR is also being ported to HTC Dream, HTC HD2, Nokia N900 and Palm Pre devices.
Shipped software
The following software packages are shipped and pre-installed by default:
- address book: contacts
- telephone functionality: Dialer

- media player: intone, an MPlayer front-end
- map and GPS viewer: FoxtrotGPS. offering the following maps:
