Timmy Ryan was born in Cork and was playing for Tipperary in 1950 when Fitzgerald was born in Limerick. She moved to Dublin in her early teens. So, he is associated with Cork and Tipperary while she is associated with Limerick and Dublin. It does not prove he is not her father but it implies caution should be used in drawing conclusions. Don't be afraid to send her an e-mail: both frances.fitzgerald@oir.ie and frances.fitzgerald@oireachtas.ie. These TDs do reply, or have replied to me, anyway.
