Welcome to my page!

I have a big interest in all things weather. I also am a big fan of things like First-person shooter games, more simple 2D games (such as Terraria and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth), as well as plenty of music genres, with rap being my most favorite. Other interests include the Silent Hill series, as well as the Resident Evil games (Ethan Winters my beloved). I have recently gotten into Elden Ring, my first Souls-like game, and I absolutely adore it. The first game in a while I actually consistently love for more than 3 days before forgetting about it.

I mainly edit tropical cyclone pages, though if there is a big event somewhere else the world of severe weather, I might be on there! My interest is periodic, and comes about really when any large event is going on. If none are happening, I'm mostly dormant. I am currently in college for Culinary arts as well, so my time is limited.

I go by any pronouns. :3

My History

[edit]

My time on here started back in May 2019. I started my editing with Machine Gun Kelly's Hotel Diablo (Ironically, I don't like him anymore). After going on a hiatus for almost a year due not having much interest in editing, I decided to come back to Wikipedia after Hurricane Isaias tore through the state I live in, New Jersey, as a tropical storm in August 2020. In fact, before that storm, I didn't really think of researching weather as much as I have been doing in more recent times. I guess having a tropical storm rip through your state sparks that interest!

I have edited several tropical cyclone pages, including Hurricane Teddy, Typhoon Goni, Hurricane Eta, among many others, though most of the edits from this time were just small additions. I plan to continue contributing! I like to add as much as I can from a source, adding usually a thousand or more bytes to really squeeze out any information that may have not been presented yet in an article; to a limit of course.

Nowadays, due to college and work, and other projects, I rarely edit on here. Maybe something will happen in the future, but, for now, I'm just vibing.

Storms

[edit]

I have lived through, as far as I can remember:

  • Hurricane Irene - 2011. From what I can recall, damage wasn't that bad. I remember power being out for probably a day or two. Overall, not that bad.
  • Hurricane Sandy - 2012. A lot, lot of damage. Example: I remember a large trunk of a tree that fell right into the middle of a house. It wasn't a pretty sight. 2 weeks no power. Had to resort to a lucky find of a restaurant in order to get dinner food. Was incredibly boring to sit through no power too.
  • Tropical Storm Fay - 2020. Minimal damage, like, just rain and wind. Well, that's literally what you see in a hurricane, but I'm saying "rain and wind" lightly.
  • Hurricane Isaias - 2020. About 4 days no power. Was hot and uncomfortable sleeping at night. Pretty sure our generator we got just before Sandy was on the brink of breaking.
  • Hurricane Zeta - 2020. Minimal damage, really not much I can recall.
  • December 24, 2020 - Christmas Eve had a powerful windstorm come in at night. I remember the wind blowing very hard when I was in my room, as well as severe rain. I thought damage to my house would be worse than it was - outside, I just saw tiny bits of the roof fell off, with the full roof being fine.
  • Hurricane Elsa - 2021. Skimmed NJ as a Tropical Storm. Very little, if any, damage, and all I had was just heavy rainfall for a few hours and some wind. No power outage.
  • Hurricane Henri - 2021. Just a huge amount of rain the night of August 21 with nothing after. Minimal damage, no power outage.
  • Hurricane Ida - 2021. Caused heavy winds and pouring rain specifically in the morning and night. I got an alert for a tornado emergency, however, nothing came out of it (I think it was for the TOR:E for the tornado in Mullica Hill, which I'm far away from). The worst effects I've had from a storm since Isaias.
  • October 2021 nor'easter - 2021. From what I remember, since I forgot to add it here for a while: not much. Mostly light effects with not much to say in addition.
  • July 28–29, 2021 - 2021. Had a friend over from what I recall. Extremely heavy rain and fast winds happened, some of the hardest rain I saw in a long time. No power outage though, and effects were light.
  • January 2022 North American blizzard - 2022. Just a bunch of snow, delayed opening for school that Monday. No negative effects.
  • Hurricane Ian - 2022. Just remnants (thank god), brought several days of colder weather and rain, but nothing big.
  • Hurricane Nicole - 2022. Some rain on November 11th, as well as heavy winds that night, but nothing major.

From this point on, I will name more major storms that affect me. I don't edit on here as much as 2021, and would rather not bloat this section with minor storms!
