New page reviewer

I have been reviewing at AfC from a while. I would like to help with the NPR backlog. My AfD stats are a bit weak, but I believe I can quality for a trial. Thanks! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 13:09, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for volunteering, Bunnypranav. The AfC history tool is only showing fourteen reviews, which together with your limited AfD and article creation records does not really give me enough to go on. You're on the right track, but please come request again after some more experience at AfC and/or AfD.  Not done for now. – Joe (talk) 15:32, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Joe Roe Thanks for the quick response. Considering my more backend experience in Wikipedia, and at WP:AFC/R, see redirs created, can I be granted a short trial? Say 15 days or less? Thanks! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 16:25, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately we cannot separately grant the right to review redirects and the right to review articles. Since the latter is the more sensitive task, we really need to see prior experience in article creation and reviewing work before granting this right (per WP:NPRCRITERIA). – Joe (talk) 07:41, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Joe Roe I didn't mean that, I just asked if my limited experience could qualify for a short 15 day trial or something. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 12:53, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Bunnypranav Take a look into attending WP:NPRSCHOOL. I did it and it was a really eye opening experience for me. It made me really understand the rules and helped me become a much better editor. It also improved my voting and reasoning at AfD. Attending and graduating from WP:NPRSCHOOL is a really strong indicator that you're ready for this permission. It's how I got started with NPP so I might be a little biased. Dr vulpes (Talk) 19:41, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the advice, will do it. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 07:51, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

To help with reviewing new articles (esp. about folk songs). Tamtam90 (talk) 10:48, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Thank you for volunteering, but in reviewing your editing history I wasn't able to find sufficient experience with the deletion process or evaluating content. I encourage you to spend some time at WP:AFD and make policy based votes to show that you're comfortable evaluating notability. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:11, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Memer15151! I've been actively working at Articles for Creation for the past month, and I believe am ready to start reviewing new articles in addition to AfC submissions. I'd love to help reduce the amount of unreviewed new articles. I am confident that I meet the guidelines for becoming a NPR. I have reviewed over 200 AfC submissions, created over 45 articles, and participated in over 20 AfD discussions. My account was created over one and a half years ago, and I have over 3,000 edits.

One time, I did accept some AfC submissions by User:Tatar Russian (who was later confirmed a sockpuppet) that were deemed to be written by AI. I was unaware of this, although I was a bit unsure why the user created drafts so quickly (I assumed they were copied from a doc or something else that they were working on). Although in Cryllic, I was able to locate the books in the drafts, and all of the ones I checked were indeed existing works of literature. I am now aware that many of the sources in one of the drafts that another reviewer accepted consisted of hallucinated sources. I assumed good faith and accepted the drafts. From now on, I will make sure to check all works of literature to make sure they can be accessed online, and if not, get information from the draft's creator. I learned from this experience and I believe I am ready for the new role in the community. UserMemer (chat) Tribs 17:33, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My NPP rights have expired [1] and I'm seeing some interesting medical articles that need to be patrolled. My interest with NPP is mostly around medical articles as that is what I feel comfortable with. IntentionallyDense (Contribs) 05:01, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You did have fewer patrols than we would like to have seem, but based on my interactions with you I do believe you can be trusted to utilize this properly and only patrol what you're comfortable with.  Done. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:38, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please extend my rights indefinitely rather than letting them expire in Jan 2025. While I won't claim to have always been right, I think I have been fair, polite and helpful to users (particularly novices). (Of course not all users are responsive and polite, so it goes.) I mainly patrol physics/materials with an occasional chemistry or engineering; there is a lack of patrollers with adequate expertise in these areas from what I can see.  Done, thank you for all your work so far. – Joe (talk) 08:53, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I believe this is the right time to apply for these rights. Over the past year, I have been highly active on Wikipedia. Currently, I am serving as an AFC reviewer, diligently contributing to the review process. In addition, I actively participate in AFD discussions with full commitment. I have a solid understanding of notability guidelines, reliable sources, and the principles related to biographies of living persons. So far, I have created over 90 articles.
