Development stage

WikiProject Mixed Drinks header
Talk Demo Initiated and designed by: Willscrlt 02:10, January 6, 2007
Approves: Willscrlt
Disapproves:
Synopsis: During the deletion discussions of our Project's old stub templates, it became clear that WikiProjects should be using a proper assessment process to identify and rate articles. This is generally accomplished through sophisticated Project Header templates, such as this one. It is not a template for the faint of heart, and if you do not understand esoteric parser functions, please do not alter the demo template even to fix an apparent typo. Experienced parser function programmers are encouraged to help! :-)

WikiProject Mixed Drinks Barnstar award
Voting Live Template Demo Initiated and designed by: Willscrlt 06:58, January 14, 2007
This template/award is being discussed and voted upon for approval in the main Wikipedia:Barnstar and award proposals area.
Synopsis: The WPMIXBarnstar is an award to be presented to WikiProject Mixed Drinks Participants or any other editors who have made significant improvements to articles within the scope of the WikiProject and to those who have made meaningful contributions to the WikiProject. It may also be awarded by one Participant to another as a thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the WikiProject.

The following templates have been developed through this proposal process:

Infobox for mixed drink articles
Talk Template Initiated by: Happy-melon 05:24, January 13, 2007 Designed by: Willscrlt January 15-16, 2007
Synopsis: A sophisticated infobox to present a standardized introduction to the drink providing basic information about the various mixed drinks, including name, primary source of alcohol, ingredients and quantities, standard drinkware and garnishes, photograph, and IBA Official Cocktail designation. It also automatically categorizes each article and does a lot of other neat things.

Many other templates were created prior to implementing this more organized method of proposing and discussing templates.
