This file was initially tagged by Ww2censor as Copyvio (copyvio) and the most recent rationale was: There is no freedom of panorama exception for anything other than buildings in Taiwan.

- No freedom of panorama? I do not think so. As previously discussed here: [1], Taiwan's laws are stipulated: "於街道、公園、建築物之外壁或其他向公眾開放之戶外場所長期展示之美術著作或建築著作，除下列情形外，得以任何方法利用之." I think it means that people can take photographs in public places. But the question is why I can't upload "File:Monument for the Yoshino Immigrant Village in Ji'an.jpg"?--Kai3952 (talk) 22:07, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

- @Ww2censor: This picture is taken in a public space. Taiwan’s laws have the following conditions are allowed:
- Buildings are located in places open to the public, but cannot imitate original works in the way of construction.
- Sculptures are located in places open to the public, but cannot imitate original works in the way of sculpture.
- Taking photos is not a way of sculpture. I think, there is freedom of panorama in Taiwan. The question is now: Why do you think that there is no freedom of panorama in Taiwan?--Kai3952 (talk) 22:41, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

- Ah now I think you understand. Yes the monument was created by an artist and any photo of it requires the artist's permission in countries where there is no freedom of panorama and additionally, of course also, requires the photo of the monument is released under a free licence. For instance, Ireland allows photos of monuments and sculptures while the US does not and neither does Taiwan. Ww2censor (talk) 23:35, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
