Previous season

[edit]

The Utes finished the season with a record of 21–12, and a 8–7 record in Pac-12 play to finish in sixth place.[1] They advanced to championship of the Pac-12 women's tournament where they lost to Stanford.[2] They received an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Tournament for the first time since 2011[3] where they defeated Arkansas in the first round.[4] This was their first NCAA tournament win since 2009.[3] They lost to Texas in the second round.[5]
