Aashiq Hoon Baharon Ka (transl. I am a lover of Spring) is a 1977 Indian Hindi-language romance film drama, directed by J. Om Prakash.[1]
Plot[edit]
The main character, Ashok, successfully completes his studies and earns an M.Sc. degree. His mother wants him to pursue higher studies in Switzerland, but Ashok hesitates due to financial constraints. However, his mother convinces him and sends him to Switzerland. Ashok stays at a place arranged by the friend of his principal, who owns a hotel, and is also the stepfather of a spoiled young man named Vikram, who harbors animosity towards Ashok.
While on his way to a car race, Ashok encounters Veera, an arrogant girl attempting to steal his car. Despite this initial encounter, Ashok wins the race and sends the prize money to his mother. Veera's father later proposes a business deal with Ashok in the field of atomic science, as Ashok requires uranium for his research. However, Vikram, who desires to marry Veera and inherit her property, frames Ashok for uranium theft with the help of Ashok's assistant.
As a result, Veera's father jails Ashok, and Veera initially believes in her father's judgment. However, Ashok proves his innocence by getting Vikram to confess to his crimes. Veera apologizes to Ashok for her actions, and her father accepts their love on the condition that Ashok stays in Switzerland permanently, a condition which Ashok refuses. Veera also supports Ashok's decision.
Later, Vikram kidnaps Veera and demands a ransom from her father. Reluctantly, Veera's father seeks Ashok's help to rescue her. Ashok confronts Vikram, rescues Veera, and the two finally unite.
