Projects

[edit]

They have built a tri-highway system that stretches from Bartın Center to Zonguldak to Amasra, replacing the old windy roads that went up and down the mountain sides. There is a new tunnel that cuts travel times in half. They also have paid for and have gotten funding to upkeep their UNESCO Heritage site in Amasra, namely the castles for better preservation.

They are also in the mix of helping the second biggest port in Turkey for construction. This port is in Filyos, right on the edge of the Bartın border.

Food

[edit]

The main seafood found in Bartın is the "Mezgit." It is a relatively small fish that is eaten with a side of Amasra Salad.

They also provide sea side restaurants near Amasra that feature an assortment of seafood dishes.
