Brasiliscincus heathi, also known commonly as the Brazilian mabuya, is a species of skink, a lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Brazil.[2]
Etymology
[edit]The specific name, heathi, is in honor of American malacologist Harold Heath.[3]
Habitat
[edit]The preferred natural habitat of B. heathi is savanna.[1]
Diet
[edit]B. heathi preys upon locusts and also consumes insect larvae.[1]
Reproduction
[edit]B. heathi is ovoviviparous.[2] Litter size is 2–9 newborns.[1]
