Category:Endemic flora of the San Francisco Bay Area

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Category for plants found exclusively within the San Francisco Bay Area, a highly studied subregion of California, with numerous microclimates and other distinguishing features. An identified subregion of the California Floristic Province, as described at Jepson Manual listings for plants in the region. All of these plants should also be categorized at Category:Endemic flora of California, as its not going to be obvious to all readers which regions are included in the bay area: such categorizing at 2 levels in the same tree is acceptable if it significantly aids in searching the category tree and doesn't cause unncessary overcategorization. See Plants of the San Francisco Bay Region: Mendocino to Monterey, Linda Beidleman, Eugene Kozloff, UC Press.
