Norfolk Island[edit]

Norfolk Island a former British Penal Colony was granted to the Pitcairn Islanders in 1856 by Queen Victoria to be created as a 'Separate and Distinct Colony' The arrival of the Pitcairn Island settlers had it's own constitution some 45 years before Australian Federation, so of course Norfolk Island was never included in the Federation. Norfolk Island has never been ceded to Australia and many Norfolk Islanders of the past and of today dispute Australia's territorial claim. 122.202.9.115 (talk) 09:09, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
