Untitled[edit]

I don't think it really makes much sense to categorize skating coaches by nationality. In the first place, there aren't a whole lot of them who are famous enough to warrant entries in Wikipedia, so breaking them down by country doesn't seem necessary. A bigger problem, though, is that skating is such an international sport that it is hard to decide what nationality some coaches really belong to. For example, Carlo Fassi represented Italy during his competitive days, but he became famous as a coach while living in the United States, and two of his best-known students (John Curry and Robin Cousins) were British. Similarly, Tamara Tarasova was originally Russian, but she's lived in the US for years now and her recent students have included Canadian, Israeli, Italian, French, and Japanese elite competitors.
