Chester Township is a township in Polk County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 79 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Grand Forks-ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Geography

The township is located near geocoordinates 47.808N, 95.775W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.9 square miles (93 km²), of which 35.9 square miles (93 km²) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km²) (0.08%) is water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 79 people, 28 households, and 22 families residing in the township. The population density was 2.2 inhabitants per square mile (0.85/km²). There were 37 housing units at an average density of 1.0 per square mile (0.39/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.53% of the population.
