Adham Hafez is an artist, theorist, entrepreneur, and curator working in the fields of performance, expanded cinema, contemporary dance, digital art, and sound art. Described by The New Yorker magazine as "an entrepreneurial figure in Cairo's contemporary dance scene[1]," his work has been presented at venues and institutions globally including the Sharjah Architecture Triennial,[2] La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club[3] in New York City, and Hebbel Am Ufer[4][5] in Berlin, among others. Over the years, he has founded, produced, and curated several festivals, including TransDance Festival[6] between 2008–2015, and New York Arab Festival[7] which was founded in New York City in 2022.[8]
