The Astronomy and Space Science Association of Richmond College, Galle founded in 1988, is one of the leading school-based Astronomical associations. It provides numerous platforms for students to enhance their knowledge of Astronomy throughout the year. Notable events hosted by the association include the Synodic Observation Night Camp series, the Nebular Night series, and the Dark Edge inter-school astronomy competition. The association's primary objective is to promote astronomy and offer a platform for young Astronomers to showcase their talents. in alignment with its motto, "Pushing Boundaries, Illuminating the Darkness," THE ASSOCIATION CONTINUES TO WORK TOWARD FULFILLING ITS MISSION.
