Draft:Carlo-Schmid-Programme

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Carlo Schmid Programme (CSP) is a scholarship programme set up in 2001 for internships at international organisations and EU institutions. It is organised by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung).

It is aimed at highly qualified students and graduates who want to familiarise themselves with the problems and working methods in the international administrative sector and thus improve their chances of working there later on.

The programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.[1] The Robert Bosch Stiftung was involved in funding the programme from 2001 to 2012, and the Mercator Foundation [de] from 2012 to 2021.[2] The Tönissteiner Kreis is supporting the programme with mentoring tasks.

There has been an alumni association since 2003: the CSP Network for International Politics and Co-Operation.[3]

The programme is named after the German social democratic politician and constitutional law expert Carlo Schmid.
