The 1891 Census of Scotland was implemented during the night on April 5/6, 1891. The information which was requested:

• Place(name of street,place, parish, roadway and name or number of house).

• Name of any individual or each person whom had spent the night in the residence.

• Relationship to the head of household.

• Marital status • Age • Sex (indicated within the same column where age is recorded)

• Occupation or Profession

• Select whether an employer, an employee or self employed. • Birthplace.

• Select whether Gaelic or Gaelic and English is spoken.

• Select whether a person is either blind, dumb, deaf, imbecile, idiot or lunatic.

• List the number of rooms within the dwelling that has atleast one or more windows.

The population in Scotland during April 5, 1891 was 4,033,103 people.
