Harpreet Singh Swaich (Punjabi: ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਵੈਚ, Romenized: Haraprīta singha savaicha) (02 October,1984) is a writer of Punjabi literature. He is simultaneously composing/writing poetry, stories, articles, essays, travelogues etc. He was born in village Chao Majra, District S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Punjab.[1]
Biography
[edit]He was born in village Chao Majra, District S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Punjab at Sardar Gurnam Singh and Sardarni Kirpal Kaur's House on October 02, 1984.
While studying in college, Swaich started expressing some romantic thoughts in crude words, which connected with his poetry. While studing M.A. Punjabi in Panjab University, Chandigarh, he became very familiar with literature and he read the lives of many old and new writers and their works, from where he got the guidance to write biographical literature. Meanwhile, being impressed by the theory of dreams of the famous psychologist Sigmund Freud, he started writing down his dreams, which gradually brought him into contact with the literature of stories.

[edit]Harpreet Singh Swaich completed his education from class 1 to class 10 at Paragon Senior Secondary School, Phase-10, Mohali., Then he completed class 11 and class 12 at Government Senior Secondary School, Phase-3-B-2, Mohali. He did his graduation in Arts from Government College, Sector-11, Chandigarh. Thereafter, he did his M.A. Political Science and Punjabi from evening department of Panjab University, Chandigarh. Apart from this he has learned Punjabi, English and Hindi Languages.
Occupation
[edit]Harpreet Singh Swaich served as Personal Assistant to Sardar Satnam Singh Sandhu, the then Chairman of Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran, S. A. S. Nagar, Punjab (now Member, Rajya Sabha and Chancellor, Chandigarh University, Gharun) from 2006 to 2011. He joined as a Punjabi Stenographer at Punjab Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh in the year 2011. Thereafter, he got the top rank in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Chandigarh for the gazetted post of Punjabi Reporter and at present he is serving as Senior Reporter at Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
