Khamoshiyan is a Pakistani drama produced by Momina Duraid under banner Moomal Productions. Adapted from a foreign novel, it is weitten by Samira Fazal and directed by Babar Javed.[1][2] It stars Sania Saeed, Noman Ijaz, Faisal Rehman, Vaneeza Ahmed and Ayesha Khan.[3][4] Khamoshiyan revolves around two couples who discover a new meaning of love after meeting a common accident.
The series received praise due to performances of the actors and Fazal's script. At 8th Lux Style Awards, it won Best TV Play - Satellite and Best TV Actor - Satellite for Ijaz, out of four nominations.
Plot
[edit]The story revolves around two Pakistani expatriate married couples; Rubab and Tabrez, Shahana and Arham who live in a neighborhood in UK. The former is a happily married couple live with their two children and love each other, while there is some problems in the latter's lives because Shahana goes back to Pakistan to pursue her career in acting which disturbs his children and husband's lives. One day, thier daughters meet with a road accident and get sever injured. Tabrez who was in Germany as he told his wife, reaches there immediately after knowing about the accident. Rubab comes to know that he is cheating her as he is dating her colleague, Priya since past eight months.

Production
[edit]It was the debut serial of Ahad Raza Mir.[5] Nadia Jamil was approached to play the role of Shahana, but she rejected it as she was not willing to leave for Scotland, where the filming of the series taook place.[6]
Reception
[edit]Along with the performances of some other serials, The News International praised ots performances.[7] While criticising the Fazal's recent work, a reviewer of Dawn said it "blockbuster" along with Fazal's Dastaan and Vasl.[8]
