Matan Achituv (born 10 October 2010) is an Israeli racing driver who is currently competing in the Skip Barber Formula 4 Race Series[1], and preparing for 2025 USF Juniors Championship, driving for VRD (Velocity Racing Development)[2]

Career

Karting

Matan Achituv Started Karting In 2022. He started racing the later half of the 2022 Rok Cup Israel Karting Championship by Racing Academy IL. at the end of the season he accumulated top 10's and 3 podiums. In the winter of 2022 he started to test internationally. in 2023 he participated in the Rok junior championship, becoming Vice Champion.[3][4] and later representing Israel in the Rok Super final[5]. from 2023 to 2024 he competed in most European karting races including (IAME, ROK, ROTAX, WSK, ACI) with the GSR team[6]. There he improved his level, experience, and results[7]

Skip Barber F4

On June 11, 2024, Achituv announced[8] that he would make his Skip Barber F4 Race Series debut at Road America driving the Mygale F4 car. He would compete in the last 3 races (rounds 9-14).[9]

In race 1 at Road AM, he would finish P9 after qualifying p11 for his first car race. In race 2, Achituv started 12th behind car 19, 1. He managed to get past car 1 in the opening laps and closed the gap to 19. After a safety car restart, Achituv continued fighting and ended the race P7 finishing his car racing weekend debut[10][11]. At this weekend, he also tested a USF Juniors car in the Friday tests[12].

At the penultimate round of the season at Lime Rock Park[13], Achituv qualified P4 one second off pole position. In race 1 of the weekend, Achituv lined up fourth alongside car 24. Achituv would climb up to third going into the first corner. The race was hectic with multiple safety cars and on-track incidents. After the restart, he would fall back to P5, climbing up to P4 by the end of the race[14]. Race 2 he would finish fifth just bheind the battle for P3.[15]

The final round of the season will be on 17 - 19 of September, 2024.[16][17]

In 2024, Achituv will test[18] with VRD[19] as preparation for his first full car racing season (2025)[20] for the USF juniors Presented by Continental Tires USF Pro championship season.
