Michael E Prewett - ITF Taekwon-Do Grand Master.

A martial arts instructor from Cardiff, and the first Grand Master of Taekwon-Do in Wales.

Grand Master Prewett, took up the Korean martial art in 1971 after breaking his leg stopped him playing rugby. He is currently the school instructor at Fairwater Leisure Centre, in Cardiff.

During a 50 year long career he has represented Wales in the European Taekwon-Do championships, coached both the Wales and GB teams and is now vice chairman of the ITF umpire committee, Board Member of the British Taekwon-Do Council, Vice President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation and President of the Europe ITF Taekwon-Do Federation (EITF).

Grand Master Prewett is also honoured with a plaque on the wall of the Taekwon-Do Palace in Pyongyang, DPR Korea, the final resting place of General Choi Hong Hi the 'Founder of Taekwon-Do', and one of very few idividuals awarded the Order of Friendship by DRK Korea.
