Nikki Camilleri (born 6th February 1996) is an award winning British Maltese music industry professional and consultant. She founded music consultancy mana to help underserved artists build sustainable careers alongside her career at leading companies in the music industry.
In 2013 she won several awards in the Young Enterprise competition including Microsoft Social Enterprise of the Year Award and HSBC Company of the year, for her arts management business. Relocating to London in 2014 she went on to work in A&R and music marketing working with top artists.
In 2024, she was honoured on the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
Biography

[edit]Growing up in Malta, Camilleri founded and ran an award winning arts management startup in the Young Enterprise competition winning Microsoft Social Enterprise of the Year Award and HSBC Company of the year, later achieving sponsorship from Vodafone, featuring on the main 8 o'clock TVM news and being invited by HE The President of Malta for tea in thanks for the work done for the national arts industry. This saw her go on to London to take part in the international competition. [1] [2] [3] [4] She later relocated to London in 2014.
Music Industry Career (2014 - present)
[edit]After Graduating from the British & Irish Modern Music Institute with a first-class Music Business degree, Camilleri's first role was at Warner Music Group working on releases from and featuring world renowned artists including David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Disciples, Justin Bieber amongst others [5]. Camilleri also had stints at Glastonbury Music Festival and Modest! Management.
She then went on to work in A&R scouting and signing several artists including Universal Music Publishing's Ayelle, 3 x Platinum Indie band Scouting For Girls, James Vickery who’s vocals you may recognise from Disclosure’s club anthem ‘Flow’ and who went on to go viral (30 million views) on well known YouTube channel Colors , streaming giant and composer Peter Sandberg as well as development act Cat Burns who went on to achieve a UK Top 10 Charting position.[6][7]
Awards and Speaking Work
[edit]She has been asked to speak at several creative industry events including Sonic Visions, The Great Escape Festival, Urban Development, Roundhouse workshops regularly giving her time to the next generation of artists.[8][9][10][11]
Camilleri has also lectured at University of West London's London College of Music [12] whilst regularly being called on as a thought leader and industry expert on subjects in the cultural and entertainment news space.[13][14]
She was inducted as a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. In 2024, she was honoured with an inclusion on Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list in the music category for her contributions to the music industry [15] [16] as well as served as a judge for the 2024 Youth Music Awards. [17]
Activism
[edit]In 2019, Camilleri started a viral Human Rights petition on Change.org and Twitter for a young female, Rahaf Mohammed, who was seeking asylum which received press in TIME magazine and The Independent over 98,000 supporters and a positive ending when Rahaf received refugee status in Canada.[18][19]
