- Comment: If the CEO is not notable specifically for their work in the company, it should not be added here - a paragraph about the CEO is not appropriate.Independent sources need to be added as well, as per the links above. LR.127 (talk) 15:32, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Niricson.com is not a reliable source. Please use full citations instead of bare URLs in the references, aligning with WP:REFB if you need guidance. Utopes (talk / cont) 12:17, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
Niricson is a multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Victoria, British Colombia, Canada, founded in 2020 by Harsh M. Rathod (CEO) and Aki Tomita (CTO). The company is best known for its infrastructure condition assessment software and robotics offerings. Niricson's product lineup includes include AUTOSPEX and DRONIC, technologies that use artificial intelligence and machine learning map defects on civil infrastructure.[citation needed]
The company is an outshoot from the University of Victoria, where the CEO graduated from in 2015.[1] At founding, the company worked primarily with hydropower and water storage dam infrastructure, working with state governments and utilities. Since then, the company expanded its offerings to other critical civil infrastructure including aviation and transport infrastructure.[2] Over time, Niricson has attracted a series of strategic investment and partnerships, including with Arcadis, a Dutch civil design firm, and Bentley Systems, an American civil engineer software firm.
In August 2023, the company raised capital from MUUS Climate partners, the venture capital arm of MUUS & Co.[3] Other investors joining in the round include Bentley Systems, Export Development Canada, Sustainable Development Technology Canada, Techstars, Forward Venture Capital, and others.[4]
