Pia Mellody is a lecturer and international author of books regarding the topic of codependency in relationships. A former nurse, she has developed techniques that allow personal transformation among patients suffering from attachment disorders.

Some of her works include: Facing Codependence: What It Is, Where It Comes From, How It Sabotages Our Lives and Facing Love Addiction - Giving Yourself the Power to Change the Way You Love, among others.

Her revolutionary techniques for working through codependency have been mentioned in the autobiographic work of Neil Strauss "The Truth: An Uncomfortable Book About Relationships" by Neil Strauss.
