Praful Nargund is a British entrepreneur and politician serving as a local councillor in the London Borough of Islington for Barnsbury. He is the Labour candidate for the seat of Islington North in the 2024 United Kingdom general election.

Career[edit]

Naragund holds a degree from the University of Oxford.[2] He is a director at Create Impact Ventures, an early-stage investment firm. Previously, he held the position of CEO at ABC IVF.[2] , representing the Barnsbury ward.[3] In 2024, he was shortlisted,[4] and then formally selected by the Labour Party as the party candidate for the Islington North constituency, replacing Jeremy Corbyn as the party candidate.[5][6][7] He is the son of professor Geeta Nargund.
