History
[edit]Sakthi Film Factory, founded in 2017, began its operations with the distribution of the Tamil film “Kadugu.” Known for its focus on content-driven cinema, the company also distributed “8 Thottakkal” and “Magalir Mattum” in the same year, both of which received positive responses for their distinctive storytelling.
In 2018, the company achieved a notable success with “Kadaikutty Singam,” a Tamil family drama that performed well commercially. Sakthi Film Factory also entered the Telugu market with films like “Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India” and “Geetha Govindam,” introducing strategic release approaches in Tamil Nadu.
By 2019, Sakthi Film Factory had gained a stronger foothold in the industry with the distribution of films such as “Viswasam,” a highly successful Tamil film, as well as “LKG,” “Uriyadi 2,” “Jiivi,” “Jackpot,” “Comali,” and “Sillu Karupatti.” The latter, despite its modest budget, was well-received, partly due to a collaborative effort with 2D Entertainment.
In 2020, the company distributed the romantic fantasy “Oh My Kadavule,” which found both critical and commercial success.
