Shree Saraswati Secondary School is a school located in Damak Municipality, Nepal. It was founded in 2024 B.S.[1] (1967 A.D.) and has been serving the community ever since. The school offers classes up to the 12th grade and also has a separate stream for a technical course in Computer Science[2], which students can choose to take from Class 9 to 10 or up to Class 12.
Shree Saraswati Secondary School has a large field in the middle for students to play, roam, and engage in other activities. The field is surrounded by classrooms on four sides. The school also boasts a nice hall for performances and assemblies. It has three offices dedicated to each school section: one for the primary school, one for the secondary school, and one for the technical stream. Additionally, there is a Saraswati temple on the north-east side of the school and a canteen for students to use.
Historical Background[edit]
Saraswati Secondary School started in 2024 BS because some very honest and dedicated people in Damak, like Dambar Bahadur Adhikari, Sher Bahadur Niroula, Vijaya Mohan Singh (Kotbabu), Jaya Bahadur Kunwar, Khadga Bahadur Thapa, Bhakta Bahadur Budhathoki, Jagat Bahadur Subedi, and Dhan Bahadur Tamang, worked hard for it. At first, it was in a simple hut in Charak Pada, Ward No. 6, Damak. Later, Damber Bahadur Adhikari moved it to Ward No. 14.
It began as a primary school in 2024 BS, then became a proposed lower Secondary school in 2036 BS, and finally became a Secondary School in 2043 BS. Since the beginning, it's been giving good education to kids, no matter their background. In 2065, it started offering classes up to grade twelve, including computer engineering courses.

Current Programme[edit]
Shree Saraswati Secondary School offers programs from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to eighth grade in English medium. Classes from ninth to tenth grade are conducted in both English and Nepali mediums. Additionally, classes from ninth to twelfth grade are specialized in the technical stream of Computer Engineering, with 48 seats available. Special attire is provided for students in the technical stream.
