Warbird is the name of several characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The first incarnation of Warbird, Carol Danvers, first appeared in Avengers vol. 3 #4 (March 1998).[1] The second incarnation, Ava'Dara Naganandini, debuted in Wolverine & the X-Men #1 (October 2011).[2] The third incarnation, whose real identity remains unknown, made her first appearance in History of the Marvel Universe vol. 2 #6 (December 2019).

Carol Danvers

The first Warbird is Carol Danvers.[3] Created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gene Colan, the character first appeared in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (March 1968).

Ava'Dara Naganandini

The second Warbird is Ava'Dara Naganandini. Created by writer Jason Aaron and artist Chris Bachalo, the character debuted in Wolverine & the X-Men #1 (October 2011).[4] Naganandini is a member of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, an elite group of alien warriors tasked with protecting the royal Shi'ar family.[5]

The third Warbird's name is unknown. Created by writer Kurt Busiek and artist Alex Ross, the character made her first appearance in History of the Marvel Universe vol. 2 #6 (December 2019).
