Esme Sophia Isaack

Esme Sophia Isaack born May 30, 1967, at Mariental, [1] is a Namibian politician. A SWAPO⠀party member who served as the Regional Governor for Hardap Region (2015–2020).[2]

Education

Isaack finished her secondary schooling at Azaliah College and earned a Basic Education Teacher's Diploma from the University of Namibia (UNAM) in 2008.[1] She has also completed several training courses on leadership, English language presentation skills for teachers, school readiness, and facilitators' training, and has a background in community support for abused women and children, as well as women's empowerment.

Career

Isaaks worked as a teacher from 1986 to 2010.[1] After that, she was appointed regional governor, Isaack worked as the pre-primary education coordinator in the Hardap Directorate Of Education. Additionally, she has been the chairperson of various bodies within the local and regional council of Hardap Region.

She also served as Mayor of the Aranos Town Council.

Given her political roles, here leadership Interest lies in agriculture, social upliftment programmes and youth development in Hardap Region.[3]

In 2016, she survived a horrific car accident after the car she was travelling in hit a Toyota pick-up that was crossing.[4]
