Nederlands: Dudok, 100 jaar Hilversum
Kwaliteit is tijdloos Willem Marinus Dudok is 100 jaar geleden aangesteld in Hilversum als directeur Publieke Werken. Dat wordt dit jaar, vanaf 1 juli, gevierd met een speciaal Dudok-jaar. In het kader hiervan wordt de documentaire ‘Dudok, 100 jaar Hilversum’ gemaakt. Elke maand zal een kort fragment uit de film te zien zijn op de site van Dudok. Deze maand, aflevering 2: De wethouder. Nicolien van Vroonhoven-Kok is wethouder in Hilversum van onder andere monumentenzorg, maar zij beheert ook de portefeuille van milieu. Het is haar taak om een goed beleid voor de monumenten in Hilversum, waaronder uiteraard veel van Dudok, te voeren. Maar tevens moet zij proberen een balans te vinden tussen de monumenten van vroeger en de eisen die de moderne tijd stelt aan deze gebouwen. Als een gebouw leeg staat omdat niemand er meer interesse in heeft, wat dan? Of als een gebouw gebreken begint te vertonen of te veel geld kost om te onderhouden, wat moeten we er dan mee? En hoe zorg je dat een monument gaat voldoen aan onze huidige duurzaamheidseisen? |
